How to make slime:

Water down some white glue. I used ultra-cheap white school glue.

Add food colouring.

Dissolve some Borax in water and pour it in...

Simple as!

And icky...

I find it difficult to express just how much you mean to this family.
My heart melts when I see the kind of father you have become.

Thank you for being the better parent when I am frustrated, for taking over when I've had enough.

Thank you for cooking amazing food when I've lost my inspiration.

I have loved watching you bond with with our children and seeing the special relationships between you developing.

The Jord's Birthday: Mentos and Coke!

 Yup... it works!

All the kids got a roll of Mentos and a bottle of Diet Cola. They had to figure out how to get as many mentos into the bottle at the same time and the person who got the highest fountain won a prize...

And thanks mum for getting this kid his favourite pressie  - a cellphone...

Totally inappropriate but what the heck.

It has been dead for about a week and is currently residing on a kitchen shelf, forgotten.

But check the kid's face...

I would do just about anything to see that look on my boy's face!

And the amazing Auntie Keren bought him credit for it.

Cos I certainly wasn't going to!

The Jord's Birthday: The Cake

 Can you believe that I made fondant?

And it wasn't hard!

I wanted to make the cake extra extra special but decided that storebought fondant was going to be waaaay too expensive.

Thank goodness for Pinterest and this pin!

So so simple....

And then my sister painted it for me.

 And while we didn't achieve the extra extra special I was aiming for, I still think the cake was cool.

So did the kids!

The Frog and his best friend had a little picnic.

So cute!
